We have just returned from our wonderful Italian holiday, staying in the countryside near Padova. Our Aster apartment was in a lovely rustic setting in a beautiful courtyard area. Everybody was so helpful and friendly, whether it was providing train times or printing walking maps, nothing was too much trouble. We took advantage of lunch at the golf course, which is of international standard, and enjoyed walks through the woods and local hills as well as day trips to Padova, Vincenza and a train trip to Venice. A wonderful area for independent travel and much a much recommended place to stay.
Nestled on the pastoral northern edge of the Euganian Hills, Agriturismo Frassanelle is a convenient base for day-trips into the countryside and to Padua, Vicenza, Verona and Venice. Our reception was warm and friendly. We saw Anna, the lady who took our reservation, only on the night of our arrival.
The apartment lacked nothing. We ate breakfast and our evening meal there each day. The website shows a floor plan and pictures. As is not always the case with other places, this website clearly and accurately told you what is there and there are no surprises when you see the un-pictured other-side-of-the-room.
We had a wonderful holiday in May staying in Aster apartment. It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed with someone always on hand to deal with queries. Nothing was too much trouble and special thanks to Giovanni who gave us lots of helpful information about local places to visit.
While there we enjoyed a guided tour of the estate including the grotto below the villa and lunch at the golf club, both recommended, and there are places to relax walking through the woods or chilling out in the courtyard area with a book and glass of italian wine, as well as being within easy travelling distances of Padova, and Venice for sightseeing.
We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.
